He noticed that this thing of his was slowly starting to catch on
No more a handful of people the place was packed
For several months in advance
And even blue-haired old ladies were requesting songs
And there were A&R guys all around
Trying to get a piece of the pie
Sying he’d be big yeah bigger than the Jackson Five
They said lets try to make this work
Change some things like the words and some of the chords
And suddenly there was a sound much like the crack of a board
And 6 months later
When he got out of jail
For busting heads with his guitar
He was still around playing that same old thing
At the same old bar
