Notwithstanding the church was poor, Joseph observed as Latter-day Saints began to build the imposing edifice
And notwithstanding the threats of the mob, the temple construction went steadily forward. The Kirtland temple was finished and dedicated. As on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Ghost was profusely poured out. The congregation sang out, the spirit of god like a fire is burning, and the saints shouted hosanna to God and the Lamb
